Business Visas - Provisional
Commonly known as Business Skills visas, these allow business people to create and/or establish a new or existing business in Australia, manage this business or invest in Australia. All Business Development – Provisional visas barring the Investor Retirement visa present future opportunities to apply for permanent Australian resident status.
Business Visas - Permanent
Commonly known as Business Skills visas, these allow business people who have demonstrated the required level of business in Australia while under a provisional visa, to apply for a permanent visa based on this fact. For high-merit business people a direct permanent residence visa is also obtainable.
Business visits to Australia for up to three months
Business visit visas allow business people to enter Australia for business activities, such as attending conferences, training sessions, carrying out business negotiations, conducting business with established Australian-based businesses, or for the purposes of an investigative business stay in Australia.
Note that acting, musical performances or film making are not considered to be business activities.
