Overview
These visas relate to business people who have demonstrated the required level of business in Australia while under a provisional visa. For high-merit business people a direct permanent residence visa is also obtainable.
High-Calibre Business People
Business Talent (Migrant) (Subclass 132)
This visa is available to high-merit business persons sponsored by an Australian State or Territory, who own or partly own a business overseas and who demonstrate an authentic and practical determination to be involved in the management a new or existing business in Australia.
Business Owners
Business Owner (Residence) (Subclass 890)
This visa is suitable for persons to assist in Australia’s economic development. It allows the holder to remain in Australia permanently for the reason of owning an existing or new business enterprise.
State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner (Residence) (Subclass 892)
This visa is suitable for persons under sponsorship by an Australian State or Territory to assist in Australia’s economic development by owning an existing or new business enterprise.
Established Business in Australia (Subclass 845)
This visa relates to temporary residents of Australia who have established a business and have demonstrated interest in owning one or more successful Australian businesses.
Regional Established Business in Australia (Subclass 846)
This visa relates to temporary residents of Australia who are sponsored by an Australian State or Territory and who have established a business and have demonstrated interest in owning one or more successful Australian businesses.
Investors
Investor (Residence) (Subclass 891)
This visa is suitable for persons who hold a current Investor (provisional) visa and have continued their chosen investment/s for a minimum of four (4) years. Applicants for this visa need to have been in Australia for a minimum of two (2) of those years.
State/Territory Sponsored Investor (Residence) (Subclass 893)
This visa relates to applicants who are sponsored by an Australian State or Territory authority and who hold an Investor (provisional) visa. Applicants need to have a successful history of investment and business activities as well as substantial financial assets which they are able and willing to invest in Australia for a period of four (4) years. Applicants must demonstrate and authentic commitment to continuing investment and business activities in Australia.
