These visas are temporary visas enabling business people to invest in, create a new business in or manage a business in Australia. These visas offer the opportunity to apply for a permanent visa (barring the Subclass 405 – Investor Retirement visa).
Business Owners
Business Owner (Provisional) (Subclass 160)
This visa is suitable for persons having a successful established business career and who have an authentic and practical determination to be involved in a new or existing business in Australia as the owner of such.
State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner (Provisional) (Subclass 163)
This visa relates to business persons under sponsorship by a State or Territory of Australia. Persons applying for this visa must demonstrate a successful established business career and have an authentic and practical determination to be involved in a new or existing business in Australia as the owner of such.
Senior Executives
Senior Executives (Provisional) (Subclass 161)
This visa is related to senior executive employees of major overseas companies who retain substantial net assets and demonstrate a dedicated commitment to contribute to managing a new or existing business in Australia.
State/Territory Sponsored Senior Executive (Provisional) (Subclass 164)
This visa applies to senior executive employees of major overseas companies, under sponsorship by an Australian State or Territory, who retain substantial net assets and demonstrate a dedicated commitment to contribute to managing a new or existing business in Australia.
Investors
Investor (Provisional) (Subclass 162)
This visa is suitable for persons who are successful business people or investors, and who demonstrate an authentic and practical determination to be involved in investing or business in Australia.
State/Territory Sponsored Investor (Provisional) (Subclass 165)
This visa is suitable for persons who are under sponsorship by an Australian State or Territory, who are successful business people or investors, and who demonstrate an authentic and practical determination to be involved in investing or business in Australia.
Investor Retirement Visa (Subclass 405)
This visa is suitable for applicants 55 years or over to gain temporary residence in Australia in order to make significant long term financial investments in Australia. This visa does not offer further opportunities to apply for a permanent Australian visa.
Independent Executive Further Application Onshore (Subclass 457IEFAO)
This visa pertains to holders of a Temporary Business (Long Stay) Independent Executive visas (subclass 457IE) who require extended time in order to become eligible to apply for a permanent business visa.
