Partner Category

The partners and fiancés of Australian citizens, permanent residents and eligible New Zealand citizens are permitted under this visa to enter and remain in Australia permanently. This category of Partner migration could apply to

  • persons intending to marry (fiancés)
  • persons who are married (de jure partners).
  • de facto partners, including those in a same sex relationship

Parent

If they have a child residing in Australia who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen then parents may be able to apply to migrate to Australia.

Child

These visas affect the dependent children, adopted children or orphaned relatives of Australian citizens, permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens.
