ENS - still the preferred way to Permanent Residence

Last Updated on Monday, 06 June 2011

Recent budget announcements provide for 9150 additional places for Employer Sponsored visas, confirming the Australian Governments continued preference for employer sponsored migration.

According to the Department of Immigration recent announcements ‘employer-sponsored migration matches migrants directly to jobs in Australia, making it the best method to ensure the labour market gets the skills it needs now.’

The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) continues to be the most efficient way for applicants to migrate to Australia, particularly with the Department of Immigration supporting the process with a commitment to considering applications based on a 24 to 48 hour processing model.  This model means that a complete, decision ready application can be assessed and finalised within days of lodgment.
