Transitional arrangements for pre 1 July 2010 skills assessments

Last Updated on Tuesday, 27 July 2010

The Department of Immigration have announced that they will introduce transitional arrangements for applicants holding skills assessments issued before the introduction of the new skilled occupation list on 1 July 2010.

The transitional arrangements are intended to ensure applicants who have received a valid skills assessment prior to 1 July 2010 can still use the assessment to lodge a valid visa application.  DIAC will publish a Department endorsed correlation table to assist applicants holding skills assessments issued with an ASCO code to work out the equivalent ANSCO code occupation which will appear on the new skilled occupation list from 1 July 2010.

It is anticipated that skills assessments issued after 1 July 2010 will all be issued in accordance with a new ANSCO code.
