SkillSelect Website Now Up And Running

Last Updated on Tuesday, 31 January 2012

The website of SkillSelect, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s online system for intending migrants to lodge their details is now up and running. The system will not be fully implemented until 1 July 2012, when skilled workers will be able to record their details in an Expression of Interest (EOI) to be considered for a skilled visa.

If you are interested in applying for an Independent Skilled Migration Visa, a State or Territory Sponsored Skilled Migration visa, a Family Sponsored Skilled Migration visa or a Business Skills visa or if you wish to express your interest in the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS), Regional Sponsored Scheme (RSMS), or Temporary Business (Long Stay), subclass 457 visa programs, you should lodge your details with SkillSelect online.

Once you have lodged your EOI, prospective employers will be able to find you on the database. This database will likely become the first port of call for state and territory governments as well as employers looking for suitable employees.

See the SkillSelect website and find out more about the registration process so you are ready to submit your EOI on 1 July 2012.
