Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417)

This visa is suitable for young people aged between 18 and 30 years who wish to visit Australia for up to  twelve (12) months from: United Kingdom, France, Germany Belgium, Canada, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Republic of Denmark, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta and Taiwan.

Persons granted a Working Holiday visa are entitled to:

  • one Working Holiday Visa for a period of 12 months
  • apply for a second Working Holiday Visa in some circumstances
  • enter and stay in Australia for a period of up to 12 months
  • leave and re-enter Australia during the period of which the visa is in effect
  • undertake work in Australia for up to 6 months under each employer
  • study in Australia for up to 4 months.

Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462)

The Work and Holiday visa program is intended to promote closer relationships and cultural exchange between participating countries. This visa is suitable for young people aged between 18 and 30 years who wish to work and travel for up to twelve (12) months in Australia.

This visa permits you, through periods of casual or temporary employment, to fund the cost of your holiday to Australia.

This visa is available to persons from USA, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Chile. Iranian citizens currently in Australia on this visa might also be able to apply for a further Work and Holiday Visa.
