EMPLOYER SPONSORED MIGRATION PROGRAMS
Australia’s Employer-Sponsored Migration programs provide Temporary and Australian permanent residence visa pathways for skilled individuals who are sponsored by an Australian business where that position cannot be filled from the local labour market.
The purpose of the Employer Sponsored Migration program is to support Australian businesses to sponsor overseas workers to Australia.
EMPLOYER SPONSORED VISAS
The Employer Sponsored Migration program supports employers to sponsor overseas workers for the following visas:
- 482 Temporary Skills Shortage visa program (Temporary Visa for up to 4 years)
- 494 Skilled Regional Sponsored program (Temporary Visa for up to 5 years) – Regional
- 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (Australian Permanent Residence Visa)
- 187 Regional Skilled Migration Scheme (Australian Permanent Residence Visa) – Regional
- Other Temporary Employer Sponsored or employer supported visas include the following:
- Subclass 403 Agricultural Visa
- Subclass 408 Temporary Activity Visa
- Subclass 400 Skilled Short Stay Visa
APPROVED AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS SPONSOR
Employer Sponsored visa applicants must have an approved Australian business to sponsor the visa application and demonstrate that they will be employed by the sponsoring business in a specified occupation on approved terms and conditions.
